Zachary's New Bed

Zachary got his Big Boy Bed today!!! Hurray!! BUNK BEDS!!! The biggest news though is that he gave up his "Night Night"...he gave it to baby Andrew!!! This child has been addicted to his pacifier since he was born...we tried without success to take it away a couple of times. I really thought it was going to be a nightmare to take it away from him. But not one tear and he hasn't asked for it once!!! He is also in underwear all night... without accidents!! We are so proud of him!!

Kyle Graduates

We went to Georgia to celebrate Kyle's Graduation from High School! The ceremony was held at 9am...that was too early...9 adults, 1 teen, 3 kids and a baby...we all got up showered and ready in the same house and made it there on time!!!!! We should have gotten some kind of certificate for that accomplishment!!

We had a wonderful time together.

Mady and Mommy all ready for the Graduation Ceremony

First Orioles Game

A few weeks ago we got tickets to see the National play at home, and Peter decided we would go to as many baseballs games as we could this summer with the kids. It will be our summer stadium tour!!! So we went to Baltimore and watched the Orioles play the National today. The stadium is awesome!! It was a cool day with on and off rain...but we had a ton of fun!! Did you know they have crab cakes and crab legs at their stadium...Hello!!

The kids and Peter got new hats...it has become part of the stadium tour tradition! Zach loves watching baseball!!! That makes his Daddy very happy!!!

Mother's Day 2008

Every year I do a Breast Cancer walk in honor of my Mom whom I lost way to young to Breast Cancer. This year we participated in "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk in the Nation's Capitol on Mother's Day. It was a beautiful morning. It is such an inspirational time for me, to walk for those we have lost, for those fighting for their life, and for the brave women who are survivors!

Pope Benedict XVI visit's D.C.

What an amazing experience I shared with my children!! Today the Pope was in D.C., and we were able to see him. I can't put into words the feeling it gave me, as a Catholic, it was very spiritual. The streets were flooded with people waving Vatican flags and singing the most beautiful hymns. A Priest handed Mady and Zach each a Vatican flag to wave, what a keepsake!!

Here we are in D.C.!

We are officially residents of the Nations Capitol!! D.C. is a beautiful city! Living in a city is so different than any place I have ever lived! I am enjoying walking so many places and having the kids experience this adventure! There is so much to see and do here...we are going to stay quite busy! I took the kids to the National Mall and took pictures for our "We've Moved" card. We also stopped by the Air and Space museum.

The Cherry Blossoms are beautiful

Bye Atlanta

As we leave Atlanta and start our next adventure in our journey through life I can't help but to be so very sad! I love living in Atlanta!! We will cherish so many wonderful memories we made in this home!
We moved here in October of 2004. We welcomed our second child Zachary into the world and brought him home to this house! His first steps were in our kitchen! We had so much fun with friends and neighbors here...dinners, play dates, SPLURGE, birthday celebrations, family Thanksgivings, Christmas, Halloween(I will miss this so much...my lasagna...the guy's taking the kids Trick-or-Treating and us Girl's having some refreshments...I mean handing out candy!!! And many, many, more memories, laughs and even a few tears!
I miss watching my kids play in our fabulous backyard...and in the cul de sac...
Here we come D.C.!! Time to make more memories...
