Labor Day 2008

We spent Labor Day this year enjoying the sights and this beautiful city we live in...Washington D.C. We went on a long walk which started in Rock creek Park, following the paths along George Washington National Parkway, over Key Bridge which leads into Georgetown and back around the Washington Harbour to the National Mall! It was a warm, sunny day...great way to say goodbye to Summer!

Along our walk we made several stops! Including a walk around Roosevelt Island...the kids asked if Pirates lived on the Island...Peter told them YES...too funny...made me giggle watching their faces...so they had their little eyes wide open looking for Pirates and Treasure!!! Next we stopped by dean and deluca in Georgetown for some grab-n-go-lunch! Delicious! We ended our walk with a game of Soccer and some ice cream on the mall lawn!

You guys are having so much fun living in DC. There are so many fun things to do. Mady and Zach are lucky to have fun parents like you guys. I can't wait until Emerson is old enough to take her places like that. Kim
